Chief Justice gives lecture at IUPUI

U.S. Chief Justice John Roberts was in Indianapolis Wednesday, giving a lecture to a crowd at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis.

His speech focused on the history of the Supreme Court and how little changes make great impacts on the court system as a whole.

Roberts, an Indiana native from LaPorte County, also told the crowd that he was happy to be back in the Hoosier state.

He also focused his comments to the university’s law school on the importance of removing personal bias from the field.

Roberts is the third Justice to give the James P. White lecture at IUPUI, following in the footsteps of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg in two thousand seven and Justice Sandra Day O’Connor who gave the inaugural lecture in two thousand two.
