New learning tool for poll workers on web

The Indiana Secretary of State’s office announced today (Wednesday) a new online training system for election workers is now operational in time for the May primary.

Indiana’s thirty thousand election workers will be able to watch videos and take practice quizzes to better prepare them for work on Election Day.

Election workers are trained by the county in which they work and Indiana Secretary of State Todd Rokita says for Election Day to be a success, poll workers must be well-trained and this will empower those local election officials by providing them with an online training tool they can share with their poll workers.

The training can be accessed through the Secretary of State’s website and allows poll workers to sign up to receive helpful tips and reminders by e-mail.
