Property tax amendment inches closer to ballot

Today, the Indiana House of Representatives passed a resolution that would make property tax caps part of the state constitution. Legislators from both sides of the aisle spoke in opposition to the bill, but an overwhelming call to allow the voters to decide won out. The bill will now move to the senate, where if passed, the final amendment will go on the ballot this fall.
