The tax hikes to bail out the Indianapolis capital improvement board, which runs the city’s sports venues and the Indiana Convention Center is drawing few fans. And the ramifications of the plan for taxpayers statewide mean a chilly reception among lawmakers. While a Senate panel approved the rescue effort last week, opponents are ready to try to stop it from becoming law. Indiana Public Broadcasting’s Marianne Holland reports.
